Duties of Tech Prep Coordinator:

Each consortium has a Tech Prep Coordinator employed at the community and/or junior college to assist consortium members with professional development workshops and educational services that will promote and support the following areas:

• Rigor and relevance in academic and career/technical classrooms
• Strong leadership skills
• Incorporation of applied and integrated teaching strategies into instruction
• Technology integrated into classroom instruction
• Career development and planning
• Worksite experiences for students and educators
• Partnerships between local businesses/industries and education
