What is the cost of the program?

GED classes are free. There is no charge for taking the practice GED test. Cost to take the Official GED test is $40.00 for a full test or $12.00 per part.

What are the benefits of participating in the Adult Education program?

The Adult Education Programs offer training that will enhance one's opportunities in obtaining and retaining employment.  Most employers require a high school diploma or GED.  These programs assist individuals with first obtaining a GED or improving their basic skills, and then progressing to other types of training that will make one more employable.

How are GED classes structured?

The GED classes are designed to start individuals at their current level of learning and progress to the level required to obtain the GED.  There are no tests to pass or fail.  When an individual enters the program, an assessment is administered to determine the level at which the individual is functioning in reading and math.  The program is designed so that each individual will be working on the materials he/she needs to prepare for passing the GED test.
